About Me

Hello! My name is Christiana F. Georgakopoulou, and I am from Athens, Greece. I am an aspiring biomedical engineer who graduated from Athens College in 2023, equipped with strong analytical problem-solving skills, a driven work ethic, and creativity. I am deeply passionate about biology, physics, mathematics, robotics, and mental health advocacy. These interests have inspired my vision of studying biomedical engineering, as I seek to be at the forefront of integrating these disciplines to advance medical procedures, therapeutic techniques, and overall quality of life.

Career Goals

As a graduate of one of Greece’s top schools, I have acquired foundational skills essential for both personal and academic growth, which I am eager to expand upon in my university studies. While committed to my academic pursuits, I have also maintained a range of hobbies that foster balance and creativity in my daily life. Looking ahead, I am excited to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering with a possible minor in computer science or pure mathematics. My primary areas of interest focus on precision medicine and include fields such as neural engineering, stroke and injury rehabilitation, prosthetics/biomechatronics, tissue engineering and 3D-printing, robotic-assisted surgeries, mental health disorders research and viral vector therapies, as well as youth empowerment.
