1. 3D-Printing: The versatility of applications in which a 3D printer can be used fascinates me, which is the reason why I decided to buy my own one. The model that i have is the Ender-5 Pro by Creality and I have been using PLA for my prints. Even though I have not had my 3D printer for a long time, I have managed to print some decorative figurines for my room and right now I'm working on printing and assembling prosthetic limbs for peopleand animals in need. I have already printed some parts for the humanoid robot I am planning on building.

2. Robotics: Complementary to my interest in 3D printing, I am also intruiged by the numerous applications in the field of robotics. Apart from assembling parts for prosthetic limbs and robots, as mentioned above, I have put together some smaller projects using my arduino kits, as well as removed components from old circuit boards using my soldering iron, so that i can potentially re-use them again.

3. Music: I am very passionate about music. Whether it is listening to music, going to concerts, or playing an instrument, music has really helped me get carried away, reflect on myself and goals, and express the way I truly feel.Whenever I listen or play music all of my problems go away, I feel powerful and free to do anything. I find solace in music. As a matter of fact, I am listening to music as I am typing this... I have been taking piano and violin lessons ever since I was in pre-school but stopped during middle school due to my school work. I will occasionally learn a song now and then. For the past year, during my gap year, I have been learning by myself how to learn the acoustic guitar. Finally, I really enjoy going to concerts! The 4 concerts I have been to recently are: Scorpions & Alice Cooper (Athens, Greece), The Weeknd (London, UK), Coldplay (Athens, Greece), and James Arthrur (Athens,Greece). I can not wait to go to more!

4. Sports (Tennis, Badminton, Dancing, Skiing): I recently realized that I can alleviate a lot of stress when I am doing sports (non-professionally obviously). Personally, whenever I play tennis it is the perfect opportunity to let off steam. When it comes to skiing (gold star / expert), that I have been learning ever since I was 3 years old, I love the feeling of the crisp air that hits my face and the sense of freedom I experience when I master the challenge of a steep slope. One of the greatest benefits of skiing for me has been the confidence I've gained on the slopes, which I've carried over to other aspects of my life.

Reading: Except from reading literature (both Greek and English), I also enjoy reading scholarly material related to the academic fields I am interested in (Medicine and CS / Coding).For example, some of the books I have been reading recently are: Introduction to Robotics (Mechanics, Planning, and Control) by F.C Park and K. M. Lynch, The Elements Of Computing Systems - Building a Modern Computer from First Principles (Second Edition) by N. Nisan and S. Schocken, as well as some parts of the book Introduction to Algorithms (Fourth Edition) by T. H. Cormen, C. E. Leiserson, R. L. Rivest, and C. Stein.

2. Travelling: I really really love travelling. I have travelled to many countries in Europe, China, the USA, Mexico, Jamaica and the Caribbean, which gave me the most valuable insights about the world. Especially in 2024, which I took a gap year, I had the privilege to travel to many places. Exploring these new places, meeting individuals from all walks of life, and learning about other culture and backgrounds has definitely broadened my perspective, enabling me to face new challenges and improving my communication and teamwork skills, as well as preparing me to meet people from all around the world when I go to college.

3. Photography: Another interest of mine is photography and the reason why I picked up photography is my dad. Ever since I was young I remember my dad carrying his canon digital camera and the three lenses he owns and taking lots of pictures. Now these pictures are inside photo albums that hold many special memories to my family, and today I have this camera and use it on my own. I also own a mini drone that I am planing on using for aerial photography, especially when travelling.
